Try it before you buy it! Sure it looks great in the show room, but do you like how it rides? At BMW Motorcycles of Louisville we believe your satisfaction is the most important part of your purchase. Feel free to test out a few models whether they are new or pre owned.

  1. *What day is best to take a demo ride?*

    Monday through Friday are normally the best times. We offer demo rides on Saturdays and Sundays too, but are generally busier.

  2. *How long does the typical demo ride last?*

    Regardless of the duration of the demo ride, in most cases our prospective buyers know within the first 5-10 minutes that this is the BMW motorcycle they want to take home.

  3. *Do I need to bring my own gear and helmet?*

    It is preferred but we do offer loaner jackets, gloves, and helmets if needed.

  4. *Do I have to have a current motorcycle endorsement on my driver's license to take a demo ride?*

    Yes!

  5. *Can I take a demo ride if it is raining?*

    Unfortunately, no. As long as the roads are dry, we can ride.

  6. *Are demo rides free?*

    For prospective buyers, yes they are.

  7. *This is my first motorcycle, am I still allowed to take a demo ride?*

    You must have a motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license, and we will ask some questions about your overall skills and experience; some required by our insurance, others required by BMW.

  8. *Do I need to schedule an appointment in advance?*

    If you call in advance we can make sure to have everything ready when you arrive. But, under normal circumstances we can accommodate walk-ins as well.

  9. *Can I take a passenger?*

    Yes, but we do ask that you first take a solo ride. The passenger will also be required to sign the release form.

  10. *Do you offer demo rides on your used bikes as well?*

    Of course!
